KAPA
Our Story

Built on friendship, heritage, and a high standard.

For Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Ian Devereux White, vodka was never just another spirit. It represented hospitality, celebration, heritage — and an expectation that quality should be instantly recognizable.

The Founders

While working together in Napa Valley, the two kept returning to the same idea: truly excellent vodka in America felt either uninspired or overpriced. So they set out to make one themselves.

“Truly exceptional vodka in America felt either uninspired or overpriced. KAPA became our answer.”

The Name

Tetya Kapa

The name honors Tetya Kapa — Aunt Kapa — the family figure who handed down her recipe and taught her grandson how to drink properly.

Eastern European tradition in every bottle. Not nostalgia. A standard.

Napa Valley

A place with a well-earned reputation for doing things properly.

Napa Valley is defined by an obsession with provenance. KAPA carries that same obsession into vodka. The California Sauvignon Blanc grapes, the Napa Valley water, the small-batch process built for quality over yield — it all roots KAPA in a place with a well-earned reputation for doing things properly.

The Brand Mark

The Goat

The KAPA goat mark

The goat is not decorative — it's symbolic. Resilience, grace under pressure, quiet strength. Fused with Gatsby-era elegance for an iconic, tuxedo-like balance.

Resilience

Built to endure. Unshaken by terrain or expectation.

Grace

Effortless in bearing. Never forced, never overwrought.

Presence

The kind that is felt before it is seen.

“I grew up with vodka as a part of culture — not a party trick. It was passed around the table. It meant something. I wanted to make a vodka that still meant something.”

Maksim ChmerkovskiyCo-Founder · Two-time Dancing with the Stars Champion

KAPA reflects the same standard he brings to everything he does.

KAPA Vodka bottle

“The category was asking for someone to do it right — real provenance, real ingredients, honest process. Napa Valley was the obvious answer. It just hadn't been done yet.”

Ian Devereux WhiteCo-Founder

A meeting point between old-world reverence and modern Napa craft. A bottle built to be poured, remembered, and passed around the table with confidence.

KAPA does not need reinvention. It needs to be in more rooms.
